Yes, the bags are really reusable and they are designed to be washed, dried thoroughly and then reused. Just rinse, wash carefully in warm soapy water and pop them upside down to dry, or on the drying rack. They are dishwasher safe but ensure that they are fully clean before putting away.

Yes, extra bags are available in different sizes so you can restock later should you need to.  You can then continue to use the vacuum sealer without buying a whole kit.

Yes, trapped air is the reason for freezer burn so naturally removing as much air as possible before storage helps retain your food's texture and flavour during freezer storage. It is important also to ensure food is cooled before placing in the sealing bag as this adds to the icicle formation!

First check that there is no food under the bag's vacuum valve area, make sure that the bag 'zipper' is fully sealed by hand and then run along the seam with the supplied bag sealing clip - this ensures the first stage of the sealing. Then place the vacuum sealer unit gently over the bag valve and press the operation button. When the vacuum unit auto-stops the air has been removed from the bag and you are good to store. Countertop sealers have their place in a commercial or bulk sealing setting, however their bags are not reusable and therefore not as eco-conscious. Also they are bulky, requiring large storage space when put away, and not ideal for daily use. Our kit is extremely eco-conscious providing reusable bags and is perfect for everyday use and regular food storage based on it being cordless, its size and technical specifications.

To seal any liquid in the vacuum bag you must first make sure that the liquid is cold. Then with contents such as soup ensure that the bag is filled and standing upright, there must be no liquid in the zipped seal and no liquid under or near the sealing valve. With the bag upright hold the vacuum sealer onto the valve and press the button. We trust the sealing strips on our bags but always store liquid contents bags upright for extra safety.

The vacuum sealer unit weighs less than 300g, so it is easy to hold and use.

Each bag uses a different amount of power  depending on the contents and the bag size, but each full charge should seal approximately 400-800 bag seal operations before requiring a quick charge up.

In normal operation, the power button will appear green. If the battery voltage is low, the light blinks red 10 times.
